On January 18 around 12.20pm, a man was stepping onto the escalator leading towards the Cannon Street exit when another man cut him off and an argument began.
The man then punched the victim in the face and threw him down the escalator, before continuing to kick the victim several times.
Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help with their investigation.
