Badboyz Diner, in Green Street, has had a month’s closure for the work.
It had aimed to reopen on January 30, although this has been delayed.
The restaurant aims to welcome customers to its “attractive” and “young vibe” new look.
It will also introduce a new menu with slashed prices seeing all items cost £10 or less.
Asif Khan set up Badboyz Diner three years ago, with more than ten years of culinary experience under his belt, including a co-ownership of Fatboyz Diner in Barking Road.
“We’ve gone for an east London style interior with a lot going on in terms of colours and pictures,” Asif explained.
“Its very happening, very Gen Z and a young vibe. It’s attractive – when you walk past it, you won’t miss it.”
As well as the colourful new look, Badboyz will reopen with a new menu, focussed on affordability.
“We’re also reducing our prices quite significantly compared to when we opened,” he explained.
“We initially targeted people who were comfortable to pay between £10-15 for a meal.
“Over the last few years though we have realised that its not working too well for us, so now we have brought everything to £10 or less which includes our premium burgers.”
The joint specialises in American-style burgers, offering a range of sizes and fillings.
Asif said: “We do gourmet burgers as well as your fast food grab-and-go kind of burgers, so we do offer a range of products.”
“We do the ‘Instagramable’ burgers which are really large in size but we also do your basic burgers, we do fries, milkshakes and doner kebabs which is one of our most popular products.”
Badboyz Diner is one of the only shops on Green Street that is open until 5am, according to Asif.
The eatery welcomes customers to dine in until 1am and then order delivery or order for collection until 5am.
