Cakehole at unit 17 of 12 Horn Lane in Greenwich was told that a major improvement was necessary when it was inspected on February 19. The Welsh Tavern, in London Road, Stone, was up in flames yesterday (June 11) just before 7pm. Smoke filled the road as firefighters tackled the blaze, which was eventually under control by 10.30pm. The building stands this morning with its roof destroyed, windows damaged and its walls blackened. It has been taped off by emergency services. No injuries have been reported following the fire. Coldfall Primary School in Coldfall Avenue, Muswell Hill, was visited by inspectors from the education watchdog on April 1 and 2. Brent Council in north-west London voted in May to partner with Nablus, following a period of public engagement that included a petition signed by more than 2,000 residents. Nablus is located in the West Bank, a territory occupied by Israel since 1967, and the decision has sparked mixed reactions in the community. Kamar Williams, 34, is said to have decided the dad was an “easier target” following an evening spent searching for the former partner to whom he had sent “threatening and abusive” messages.
