Lee Peacock killed his partner Sharon Pickles, 46, and her associate Clinton Ashmore, 58, at Ms Peacock’s home in Marylebone over two days in August 2021.  Peacock, a career burglar previously living in Maida Hill, had been released from prison just weeks earlier.   He was sentenced to life with a minimum of 39 years in February 2023 after being found guilty of both murders.  Peacock died at HMP Long Lartin, in the Midlands, on March 4 at the age of 53.  A Prisons and Probation Ombudsman investigation is underway into the circumstances of his death.  Victim Sharon Pickles (Image: Met…

Transport for London (TfL) has said that the incident took place on January 14 this year, as the tram negotiated Reeves Corner. The passenger died in hospital earlier this month, on March 8. The incident was revealed in a report set to be presented to the TfL board next week. Other fatal incidents mentioned in the document include a fall that took place on a route 5 bus, which runs between Romford and Canning Town, on March 15 last year. Jamal Armstrong, 34, sexually abused two children 12-year-old girls in Greenwich between November 2023 and August 2024.  As he was led out of the dock after being sentenced to 11 years and nine months in prison, a family member of one of his victims shouted: “Burn in hell. Vermin. Dr Osman Hajahmed, who worked at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, was arrested in Plumstead on April 15 last year after a woman called 999 and told police he struck her with a stick multiple times.  Dr Hajahmed, 45, from Thamesmead, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and was given a community order last year.  At a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) hearing last month Dr Hajahmed argued that the victim provoked the attack and that while he accepted hitting her it was just “one mistake”.  But the panel said it was a “sustained attack” and that Dr…

Birute Vaisnoriene has been slapped with a criminal behaviour order lasting for five years after appearing in Romford Magistrates’ Court this month. She was found to be targeting local businesses in Romford. As a result of her order, she will be unable to enter the town centre – including the Mercury, the Liberty, Cottons Park, Waterloo Estate, Union Road Estate, Cotleigh Road and the surrounding area.
