Friday Night Youth Club, which meets at MyPlace community centre in Dagnam Park Drive, held its first session in four months on Friday (March 21). Police have seized the dog after reports of the attack in Southend Park on Sunday (March 23) at 3.37pm. Medics at the scene treated a child for dog bite wounds and they were taken to a hospital where their injuries were found to be non-life threatening. No arrests were made after the incident but enquiries into how the injuries came to be are ongoing. Children at Campsbourne Primary School in Nightingale Lane, Hornsey, were encouraged to set daily goals and track the time they spent with a book in the read-a-thon organised by The Campsbourne Home and School Association (HSA) in February. The children collectively read for 123,676 minutes, equivalent to 86 full days. Altogether, they raised £4,600 for the HSA through sponsorships from family and community members. The incident took place in Parsloes Park 10 days ago on March 14, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch an “urgent” investigation.  It is believed to have been one of the latest incidents following a string of reports received by the force concerning the park.  Officers were alerted to the gun-point robbery at 7pm on March 14. The Vagina Museum, in Bethnal Green, launched an emergency appeal on March 12 to raise £60,000 – and avoid shutting for good. When the GoFundMe appeal was set up, the museum said it was “one month away from closing – forever”.
