The Priory Tavern, in Belsize Road, Kilburn, will reopen on Saturday (July 5) with former head chef Glyn Bell at the helm. Six men and two women across London were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage on Wednesday (July 2). The arrests took place in Eltham, Sutton, Northwood, Uxbridge and Ickenham. Police made further arrests in Windsor and the Isle of Sheppey as part of a coordinated operation. One of the men is also alleged to have been involved in threatening and harassing the team sent to repair a damaged camera. Those arrested remain in custody. Rescue teams pulled the body from the water to the shore near to Pier Road Greenhithe today (July 2) just after 1pm. Medics and the coastguard were at the scene and the man was pronounced dead. The death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been made aware. A coroner is also being prepared for the corner. Park Road was closed off for at least over eight hours after a car hit a pedestrian yesterday (July 2) at 4.14pm. The car failed to stop at the scene, police have said. Medics treated the pedestrian, a man in his 20s, at the scene before he was taken to hospital, where he remains. No arrests have been made but police continue to investigate.
