The works will affect the section between Malden Road and Church Hill Road. Sutton Council has said that the restrictions may be in place for up to three weeks from July 21. During that time, no vehicles (including bikes) will be allowed through while the closure is in place. Diversions will send traffic around via either: Malden Road, Lumley Road, St Dunstans Hill and Church Hill Road; or Malden Road, Priory Road and Church Hill Road. Access will still be given to homes along the closed section, as long as it’s safe to do so without getting in the way of…

TfL was able to restart design work on the station after a £25 million contribution from local developer, Renewal Group, last year. The developer intends to build about 3,500 homes in South Bermondsey, with the new station located nearby.…

I basically thought hot dogs were a thing of the past as they didn’t match up to new improved burgers and the like. But with my son home from university I suggested trying this out and he was immediately game so off we went. Lucky Franks restaurant is…

That’s exactly what happened when I visited Doughnation Pizza in Covent Garden, a relaxed, friendly spot that strikes just the right balance between quality food and an easy-going atmosphere. It was the kind of hot where you actively seek shade but also want to make the most of being outdoors. Luckily, Doughnation has plenty of seating that spills out onto the bustling Covent Garden street. (Image: Ezekiel Bertrand) The setting’s a blend of people-watching, low-stakes buzz, and, most importantly, a breeze. Where we ate, there was no stuffy indoor heat, just fresh air and fresh food. To kick things off,…
