Abdul-Latif Pouget, 20, was found injured in Back Hill, Clerkenwell at around 9.30pm October 18. Police were initially called to reports of a moped crash, however they found that Abdul-Latif had also been stabbed. Deonte Mowatt-Slater was found seriously injured in Courtauld Road just before 12.15am today (October 22).  It is believed that the teenager was riding a motorbike and crashed into a lamppost. When he was examined by paramedics at the scene, a suspected knife injury was found. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. Deonte’s family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course. No arrests have been as police enquiries continue. More than 900 artworks on the back of an envelope will be on display at The National Brain Appeal’s A Letter In Mind exhibition this month. All are on sale for £85, with the identity of the artist only revealed at the end of the exhibition. Sixteen Crouch End, Islington and Muswell Hill artists have donated work which will be exhibited from October 29 to November 2 at Gallery Different in Fitzrovia, and online at shop.nationalbrainappeal.org. A judge ruled that the council’s grounds for trying to cover up the 400-page dossier were “inarguable” and had “no realistic prospect of success”. Yasser Dennoune, of Thornton Heath, was found guilty of four counts of theft from unsuspecting patrons of licenced premises in the City of London, by stealing their bags and removing valuable items. The 25-year-old was also convicted of fraud after making purchases on a stolen bank card. Westminster Magistrates’ Court handed Dennoune a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), banning him from entering the City of London for five years. If he breaches his CBO, he could face further jail time. In a document seen by the Recorder, the RSPB has outlined some proposed closures at its Rainham Marshes site – intended to “deliver savings”. The RSPB said in the document that “significant financial challenges”, including the cost-of-living crisis, have resulted in “the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation being at risk”. The proposals include the closure of Rainham Marshes’ “retail facilities” and “food and beverage facilities”, as well as the scrapping of its education programme Schools on Reserves.
