Police have shut off Church Elm Lane after emergency services were called to the road today (August 4) at 2.31pm. The child fell from a height and has been taken to hospital by road after medics arrived in less than five minutes. At this stage, the condition of the child is not known. Knife crime is at the heart of The Ben Kinsella Trust’s story. It was launched in 2008 after 16-year-old Ben was stabbed to death whilst on a night out with friends in Islington. Two more people have been arrested following the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Keanu Harker in Enfield. Police were called at 8.45pm on Thursday, June 26, to reports of gunshots in Great Cambridge Road. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found Keanu suffering gunshot injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he later died from his injuries. His family continue to be supported by specialist officers. He was first diagnosed in 2000, with doctors predicting he had three months to live before he underwent surgery to remove one of his kidneys. After a successful operation, six years later, he launched the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer to fund research and raise awareness of the disease. His cancer returned in 2020, and it was revealed that it had also spread to his spine, brain and lungs. The operator’s websites shows nine services between London and Paris have been cancelled, and a further 12 are delayed. Passengers are being advised to postpone their travel to a later date. The track closure was caused by a power failure on the high-speed line between Moussy and Longueil in northern France. The problem began at around 8.30am local time on Monday.
