Officers were called to Croydon Road after members of the public helped a man with stab wounds to his face at around 11.30pm yesterday (August 3). Initial enquiries suggest that the incident had allegedly occurred on Beckenham High Street. The man was taken to hospital where he remains with non-life threatening injuries. Neighbourhood officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) have been targeting individuals suspected of using catapults to injure people or wildlife, or to cause criminal damage. Councillor Neil Wilson, cabinet member for health and adult social care and ward councillor for Plaistow South, died on July 30.
