Burgess Hill Girls School analysed the results of the survey in response to recent findings that the number of students studying the arts at GCSE and A Level has decreased. The City of London had the highest percentage of participants in the 2023/24 report. 68% of people in the area had either attended or taken part in Drama, Theatre, Ballet, or Opera within the 12 months. The incident happened in Tindal Street near Langton Road at around 1pm today (August 10). Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a boy who had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as potentially life-threatening and life changing. Two boys, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Metropolitan Police were called to Dudden Hill Lane to reports of a fight shortly before 6.45am on Friday morning (August 8). London Ambulance Service treated a 25-year-old man at the scene, before rushing him to hospital. His injuries have since been confirmed as not life-threatening or life-changing. A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in police custody pending further enquiries. Metropolitan Police were called to the incident in Noak Hill Road shortly after 2.30pm yesterday afternoon (August 9). There had been a crash between a motorbike and a car close to the Deers Rest pub. London Ambulance Service (LAS) treated the motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man, at the scene before rushing him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Burgess Hill Girls School analysed the results of a freedom of information request sent to mental health trusts in England, to better understand the way anxiety disorders might affect young people, and in the responses that were returned, an immediate trend became obvious. Central, Northwest, and East London trusts responded to the request and provided breakdowns for the numbers of men and women suffering from Generalised Anxiety Disorder.
