The incident took place on Merton High Street during the early hours of Saturday (August 23). Officers were called at around 3.30am. The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and a crime scene remains in place on the High Street. Forensics have been seen working in the area over the last few days. Police were called to Stratford DLR station around 4.20pm yesterday (August 23). As officers approached the man, he allegedly went onto the tracks. Officers then worked with station staff, paramedic and the London Fire Brigade to bring him back to safety. The man was taken to hospital and later arrested on suspicion of trespass, endangering the railway and a public order offence before being taken into custody. Three people are in a life-threatening condition after the suspected arson attack at Indian Aroma in Woodford Avenue, Gants Hill, at about 9pm on Friday (August 22). CCTV footage seen by the PA news agency appears to show a group of people with their faces covered walk into the restaurant before pouring liquid onto the floor. Yahso Restaurant, located at 444 Whitehorse Road, has submitted an application to Croydon Council for a premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003. Officers were called to King Street, W6, at around 5.40pm on Friday (August 22) after a crash involving a moped and a bicycle. The cyclist, a woman in her 40s, was found with critical injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
