Firefighters were called to Lutton Terrace on the evening of August 5 after the dramatic collapse, which neighbours said sounded like a “loud explosion”. The wall separated the development site at 6 Streatley Place from the communal garden of two Grade II-listed blocks of housing association flats at New Court. Blue Garage UK, a social enterprise and makerspace in the heart of Lewisham, launched the pilot project after winning council funding. The new hub is set to support early-stage innovators and spur future investment in textile innovation. Since opening in December 2024, Blue Garage has assisted over 30 startups and built a vibrant community of more than 100 members, including engineers, designers, artists, and educators. The inspection took place on June 17 and 18, 2025, and the school is located at Holbeach Gardens, Blackfen, Sidcup. Essex Service Centre at 57 Butts Green Road submitted a planning application to Havering Council in April seeking a rear extension, alterations to the roof and an upgrade to an MOT test centre.
