The incident happened at Guy’s Hospital in Southwark just before 9am today (August 14). Nine people were treated by medics with four of those taken to hospital. The chlorine gas, which is toxic when inhaled, is believed to have been created by the mixing of chemicals inside a plant room. A staff member was injured as a result of the chemical reaction.  Others who rushed to their aid have been treated for the inhalation of chlorine gas. Donald Yeboah’s brother was asleep in the next room when he “brutally” attacked Leticia Brobbey in Wingate Square last year. Leticia died from her injuries and Donald, 29, was convicted of manslaughter at Croydon Crown Court yesterday (August 13). Global Infrastructure UK Limited, a Google data centre operations company, wants to redevelop the disused Arena Essex Raceway near Purfleet. It has submitted a planning application to Thurrock Council, which reveals ambitions to demolish the existing structures on the site and replace them with four data centre buildings. The restaurant, in South Street, shut unexpectedly on August 8, with the fast food chain now confirming that the branch is closed permanently. The reason behind the closure was unclear and the chain declined to comment on why the eatery has shut. Sales company Property Solvers tracked the average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2020 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the Ilford postcodes. Streets were only included in the data if they had three or more houses sold in the past five years.
