The Nomadic Litterpickers group organised their second clean-up event in Little Venice and Westbourne Park on Sunday, November 16. The boat dwellers, who live on north London’s waterways, took to the towpath of Little Venice and Westbourne Park with gloves and rubbish bags. Unveiled by Greenwich Council, the Royal Greenwich Toilet Map has been released today, November 19, to mark World Toilet Day. It’s designed to help residents and visitors locate more than 60 public toilets across the borough, including those in parks, libraries, community centres, stations and leisure facilities. On May 26, 2023, an officer received call from a withheld number in which a man threatened “I’m going to burgle your house. I’m going to f*** you up. I’m going to f*** your partner up you Italian c***”. He then said: “You work for the police, yeah. It follows a report made to police shortly after 8pm on November 16 of a crash involving a car and pedestrian in the car park of Gallions Reach Health Centre. At the scene, a 17-year-old boy was found suffering life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. The Henley Arms, owned by Star Pubs & Bars, in Albert Road closed in October. Star Pubs & Bars told this paper that the boozer is leased to an independent operator who chose to shut the pub “at short notice”. The pub company has confirmed it aims to reopen the boozer as soon as possible. The original Henley Arms is known to have been in existence in the 1860s and was rebuilt after the Second World War. The Metropolitan Police were called at 8.58pm on November 16 with reports of a shooting on Hardwicke Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene and two people were found injured. The victims, both 16-year-old boys, were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. Their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening, but one of the boys is believed to have life-changing injuries. The A12 is shut in both directions, between junction 12 at Brentwood and junction 15 at Margaretting, following the serious crash this afternoon (November 19). Essex Police confirmed that all emergency services have been called to the scene, but it is not yet known the extent of any injuries or how many vehicles were involved.
