The London Fire Brigade were called to Sundridge Avenue just after 8.30am today (November 20) to reports of a car on fire. Two fire engineers from Bromley Fire Station attended the scene. The fire was put out just after 9am. There have been no reports of any injuries. A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: “We were called at 0837 hrs today to reports of a vehicle alight on Sundridge Avenue in Bromley. “Two fire engines from Bromley Fire Station attended the scene and extinguished the fire by 0905. “There were no reports of any injuries.” Source link

The £19.4 million project will deliver a permanent home for Connaught Special School, offering 105 places for pupils aged four to 18 with complex needs, including autism and severe learning difficulties. Bromley Council said their removal has saved taxpayers’ money and called claims of cars travelling at 60mph on the West Wickham road “fanciful”. Hawes Lane resident Gary Kent set up the petition and is leading the campaign to have traffic calming measures brought onto the residential road. The light was seen across the capital including in Islington, Dagenham and Collier Row yesterday (November 19). Photographs show a beam of blue light directed into the clouds, which was widely reported as blue but also as changing colour. Explanations from aliens to the bat signal were offered up, but most pointed to an exhibition of lights as the likely explanation.
