Recycling and waste collections for residential properties in Croydon will occur later than usual over Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025. Collections scheduled on Wednesday, December 25, and Thursday, December 26, will take place two days later. This means waste scheduled to be picked up on December 25 will be collected on Friday, December 27 instead, for example. Collections on December 27 will take place three days later on Monday, 30. Police attended Collier Row Road today (December 13) close to the Colley-Row Inn Wetherspoons. The incident was reported at around 3.20pm by a concerned member of the public. Officers, including armed police, quickly arrived at the scene and arrested a man on suspicion of possessing a firearm. He remains in custody as investigations continue. The woman had her wallet and phone stolen while she was shopping in Sainsbury’s in Kiln Lane on October 16. The victim later discovered £750 had been withdrawn from her bank account. Surrey Police have released an image of two men they are keen to identify, believing they may have information about the incident.
