79-year-old Anthony was reported missing from Barnet General Hospital around 7pm yesterday (November 29). He was wearing black jeans, a black jacket, and black shoes. The Metropolitan Police says he has links to Hampstead Heath and Finchley. Those in the Barnet area may notice an increased police presence this evening as officers are searching the area to locate Anthony and ensure his welfare. Lloyd Thomas, of Risborough Lane in Folkestone, was found guilty of five sexual offences following a trial at Canterbury Crown Court last Thursday (November 20). Thomas committed the offences, including rape, over three months. He pleaded not guilty to all five offences. He was convicted by the jury of two counts of rape and three sexual assaults, as well as a harassment offence. Thomas was sentenced to 10 years in prison and will spend a further four years on licence. The victim came forward and spoke to Kent Police in November 2024. Declan George-Candiani from Streatham was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Friday (November 28) to 23 months in prison. The 26-year-old will also serve an additional year on licence and remain subject to notification requirements for 10 years. George-Candiani was stopped by Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) officers at Stansted on August 13 last year. Officers examined his phone and later searched his home, seizing an iPad.
