The incident in Augustine Road was reported to the London Ambulance Service at 7.25am this morning (January 6).
An ambulance crew and incident response officer were dispatched to the scene, with London’s Air Ambulance landing nearby.
The Metropolitan Police is also understood to have been in attendance.
A person was found injured at the scene and was taken to a major trauma centre by road.
The London Ambulance Service has confirmed this was a “medical incident”.
A spokesperson said: “We were called 7.25am today (6 January) to reports of an incident on Augustine Road, Orpington.
“We sent resources including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient and took them to a major trauma centre by road.”
