The Metropolitan Police was called just before 10pm on October 30 to reports of a crash between a pedestrian and a car on Aspen Way.
Emergency services attended and discovered a man at the scene.
The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the car left the scene before the police arrived.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision in Canary Wharf.
On October 31, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon, and failing to stop.
Since then, he’s been released on bail.
Detective Sergeant Ed Rulton, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the victim during this tragic time.
“Officers are working hard to piece together what happened that evening, but we’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time and noticed anything unusual.
“We urge you to come forward and let us know, even the smallest piece of information could make a difference.”
