Mowchi has just announced the December 10 opening date for its new cafe in Camden High Street – while another outlet is set to open “soon” near Wembley’s London Designer Outlet.
Both locations are currently full of frantic Christmas shoppers – so the Asian-inspired minimalist cafes might be perfect to provide a “gentle and restorative” environment for customers.
Syeda Kayanath opened the first Mowchi café in Mile End back in 2022, with further outlets now in East Ham, Lakeside Shopping Centre and Bradford.
Inspired by East Asia’s street food culture, the cosy cafes have gone viral for the likes of Korean fried strawberry sandwiches, smashed bao bun burgers or “bao-gers”, banana matcha lattes, and crème brulee iced lattes.
Also on the menu are speciality coffee, bubble tea, and rice bowls alongside desserts such as frozen yoghurt and mochi.
Posting on Instagram the brand announced: “Mowchi Camden 10th December See you soon!”
The design of the cafes takes inspiration from Japandi minimalism with natural textures, soft lighting and open layouts that feel “welcoming, calm, and beautifully simple”.
On their website they say: “Mowchi began with a clear goal: to create places where you can pause, enjoy thoughtfully prepared drinks and light bites, and experience an atmosphere that feels gentle and restorative.
“These spaces encourage connection, creativity, and quiet reflection.”
Mowchi Camden opens at 115-119 Camden High Street on December 10 with the Wembley Park cafe ‘opening soon’.
