Asda Express, in South Street, has applied to Havering Council to vary its premises licence so it can sell alcohol between 6am and 3am.
However, the closing time of the store – 11pm each day – would not change, with alcohol only allowed to be sold via delivery after 11pm.
A condition of the licence application is that members of the public are not allowed to access the premises after 11pm.

A sign on the window of the Asda Express details the licence bid, saying: “The purpose of this application is to extend the permitted hours for deliveries only.”
Any representations on the application should be made in writing to The Licensing Authority, Town Hall, Main Road, Romford, or www.havering.gov.uk, no later than March 4.
A Havering Council licensing sub-committee meeting to discuss the Asda Express application is scheduled for March 24.
