Five people were stabbed in Marlowe Way at the Argos warehouse at 10.15am yesterday (January 23).
A man in his 50s, two men in their 30s, and two men in their 20s were taken to hospital with stab wounds assessed not to be life-threatening.
All involved were known to each other.
A 30-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was also taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Staff told the Metro that the knifeman told security at the gate that he worked at Argos.
Joseph Denton, 29, was at the warehouse for an audit when he confronted the knife attacker and hit him on the head with a fire extinguisher.
He described the knife as “the size of my face”, and a “Rambo knife about eight inches, with all jagged edges”.
He said: “He had his thing just stabbing at me like a serial killer.”
A security guard at the warehouse also confronted and tackled the knifeman before being stabbed in the arm.
Three other security were also said to have been stabbed after they tried to help.
An Argos spokesperson said: “We’re doing everything we can to support the teams on site and gathering as much information as possible to support the police with their investigation.”
