Six fire engines and 30 firefighters raced to the blaze in Amhurst Road just after 7.15am this morning (May 10).
Pictures from the scene showed thick smoke billowing from the basement of a house converted into flats.
A cordon has been put in place around the property, and London Fire Brigade (LFB) is investigating the cause of the fire.

The three-room basement flat has been “partially damaged” by the flames, a LFB spokesperson said.
Firefighters battled the blaze for around two hours, declaring the incident under control at around 9.15am.
One neighbour, who asked not to be named, told Hackney Gazette that they were evacuated from their home after the fire broke out.
Metropolitan Police officers were also pictured at the scene. Firefighters responded from Stoke Newington, Homerton and Islington fire stations.
