Alba Rosa is expected to welcome its first customers on Monday, November 24, serving breakfast and brunch seven days a week from 8am to 5pm.
According to a local Facebook group, the café will be located next to Boots Opticians on Beckenham High Street, taking over the former Smoke-N-Flame BBQ restaurant.
David, the owner of Alba Rosa and a Beckenham resident for 20 years, is no stranger to opening cafés – he also runs Q Café on West Wickham Road in Shirley.
He told the News Shopper: “This strip along here is all about breakfast and brunch, which is why I wanted to open.
“The interior was quite run-down, but it looks amazing now – the whole place has been refurbished.”
David said Beckenham High Street is popular with daytime trade and café-goers, with favourites such as Em’s Kitchen, Crunch, and Jams on the Hill already drawing locals.
He added: “It’s a prime location with a lot of footfall.
“Twenty years ago, this was a Chinese restaurant – they’ve all had to close down.
“My idea was to totally transform the interior.”
Alba Rosa will feature a chic stonewashed look, complemented by rose and cream décor.
“I have two daughters, 22 and 25 – they’re into Instagram, so it’ll be an Instagrammable place,” David added.
The menu will include all-day brunch options, from healthy dishes, fresh juices, protein shakes, and boosters, to vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
Signature items will include Poppy Seed Bagels, Matcha Lattes, Strawberry and Pistachio Cups, and a melted chocolate fountain.
Customers will also be able to enjoy wines, cocktails, and rosé prosecco, with a 10 per cent discount offered to local businesses and emergency services.
