Airbnb to offer Wicked: For Good experience with Cynthia Erivo

The holiday rental site is inviting up to 20 guests to experience Elphaba’s Retreat in Los Angeles.

This retreat is said to capture “the essence of Cynthia’s deep connection to the role and the elements of Elphaba’s world that she helped bring to life.”

Erivo starred as Elphaba Throop in the 2024 film Wicked, alongside Ariana Grande as Galinda Upland.

That adapted the first act of the 2003 stage musical from Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman, and was a huge success, making more than $750 million at the box office.

Wicked: For Good will adapt the second half of the musical, which will feature some elements from The Wizard of Oz.

During the three-hour experience at Elphaba’s retreat taking place on December 3, guests will step into “a refuge in the woods made of twigs and flora”.

Activities will include:

• A fireside tea with Cynthia and a sommelier, featuring blends steeped with forest flora 
• A guided exploration to uncover hidden surprises, from easter eggs and real artefacts from the film, to truths about Elphaba’s world throughout the retreat.
• A multi-sensory sing-along as music and lighting bring the Ozian Forest to life.
• A creative workshop to weave your own witch’s broom with willow, moss, poppies, and other forest flora

Airbnb added: “In addition to the experience, one additional guest (and their plus one) can request to book an overnight stay at Elphaba’s Retreat, enjoying a full day (and night) in her boots. The stay takes place December 6th – 7th, 2025. ”

How to book the experience at Elphaba’s Retreat

Fans can put in a request to book both the three-hour experience and the overnight stay on the Airbnb website here.

It is free to book, but guests are responsible for their own travel, as well as their own accommodation if not on the overnight stay.

Guests will need to be 18 years old or above to book, and any accompanying travellers must also be at least 18.

Wicked: For Good will be released in UK cinemas on Friday, November 21.
