Jed Storey and his daughter Chloe noticed their TikTok account, @dadandcloshow, start gaining traction about six months ago as a fun way to bond, but they never expected it to take off so quickly.
The pair’s light-hearted content, which includes name pronunciation games, viral trends, online challenges, and jokes, has resonated with TikTok users worldwide.

Jed told the News Shopper: “Our account has taken off way more than we expected –we hit 100,000 followers in January.
“Since then, we got nearly another 100,000 in a couple of months, and we’ve even had casting people message us to apply for shows.”
One video, posted in November 2024, became a massive hit, garnering over 40 million views alone.

Other videos have also reached more than 20 million views, further cementing their popularity.
Despite their growing social media fame, Jed insists that TikTok remains a hobby rather than a career move.
He added: “I tell Chloe you shouldn’t rely on TikTok to guarantee a safe income; we pretty much do it to have a laugh and spend some quality time together.
“We’re quite lucky that people seem to enjoy it.”
Their success has even attracted attention from television producers.
Jed explained: “Shows like Hunted on Channel 4 and a new ITV show called The Neighbourhood with Graham Norton have reached out to us.

“We’re not actually going to apply for any – I think Chloe would struggle doing shows like that.”
Chloe, who has autism, faced significant challenges with her mental health during her second year of college, leading her to take a break from education.
Jed added: “She gets burnt out a lot, but she has applied for a few part-time jobs.
“She hasn’t been successful yet, so we’re looking into volunteering to help her gain experience in a working environment.”

For now, Chloe continues to grow her personal TikTok account, which is nearing 100,000 followers, alongside their joint page. Jed credits their steady rise in followers to consistent, engaging content rather than a single viral moment.
“We haven’t gained all our followers from one video”, Jed added, “We’ve probably gained about 15,000 followers from one TikTok, but I think our total growth has come from around 15 different videos reaching a million views each.”
