Emergency services were called to Addington Road in Croydon just after midnight today (July 5), after reports of a stabbing outside a house were made to the force.
A 16-year-old boy was found with a stab wound and was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he remains in a stable condition.
An investigation has been launched by the force, with road closures in place both ways at Addington Road.
Multiple bus routes are on diversion whilst road closures remain in place.
No arrests have yet been made.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 00:07hrs on Saturday, 5 July to reports of a stabbing outside a house in Addington Road, South Croydon.
“Met officers responded with paramedics and a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound.
“He remains in a stable condition.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing.
“There have been no arrests. Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 39/05Jul.”
