Police were called to reports of a car and motorbike on the A406 North Circular today (August 27) at 3.34pm.
The rider of the motorbike has been pronounced dead at the scene.
Police do not have information about the age or gender of the person just yet.
The A406 North Circular Eastbound is closed, with severe delays from Ikea to Great Central Way (The Iron Bridge).
There’s also congestion to North Ealing, with the opposite side queuing back to the M1.
Delays are stretching to Wembley and Willesden, with queues on all approaches to Hanger Lane and along local routes, as traffic diverts.
The traffic is also affecting fans driving in to see the Coldplay concert tonight at Wembley Stadium.
Transport for London has warned there are “significant queues” near the approach of the stadium.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 15.34hrs on Wednesday, 27 August after a collision between a car and a motorbike on the North Circular, near Wembley.
“Despite the best efforts of the London Ambulance Service, the motorbike rider sadly died at the scene.
“The road is closed northbound and drivers are advised to find alternate routes if they are trying to travel to Wembley this evening.”
