Multiple police vehicles were spotted in New Cross Road eastbound at around 4.30pm today (October 18).
Bus routes 21,53,172,453 are on diversion as the incident is being dealt with.

The incident is causing congestion from Hatcham Park Road to A202 Queens Road.
The nature of the incident is unclear at this stage.
The full statement on Inrix traffic says: “A2 New Cross Road Eastbound blocked, queueing traffic due to police incident from Hatcham Park Road to A202 Queens Road.
“Also there is a lane blocked on the opposite side for traffic management.”
