Kent Police were called to the A2, near the Bean Interchange, shortly after 3.30pm today (January 8) after reports of a crash involving three vehicles on the eastbound carriageway.
Police officers are currently at the scene and have closed off a slip road onto the junction while cars are being recovered.
No injuries have been reported.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at around 3.39pm on Thursday 8 January 2026 to reports of a collision involving three vehicles on the A2 coastbound carriageway near the Bean interchange.
“Officers are in attendance and have closed a slip road onto the junction while the cars are being recovered.
“No injuries have been reported.”
At the time of writing, the A2 remains partially blocked between Watling Street and Bean Lane, with “long delays” stretching to the Black Prince Interchange in Bexley.
