National Highways has confirmed that the link road from the westbound A2 onto the anti-clockwise M25 (A282) at Junction 2 will be shut while carriageway and bridge repairs are carried out.
The work is due to begin on or after Saturday, September 6, 2025, with closures in place between 8pm on Saturday and 5.30am on Monday.
Traffic will be diverted via the roundabout at Darenth Interchange during the works. Signs will be in place to guide drivers.
The order authorising the closure comes into force on September 4 and could remain in place for up to 18 months, although the work itself is expected to be completed over two phases.
National Highways said the measures are needed in the interests of road safety.
