Tesco, Collier Row – c.1990
This photo shows the Tesco superstore in Collier Row Lane – with its old branding – in around 1990.
The supermarket was previously called Victor Value, from around 1964 until 1970, and before that it was Rex Cinema.
Inside The Liberty II – c. 1990
This photo shows an interior view of The Liberty II, now known as The Mercury Mall, which started development in March 1988, according to Havering Libraries.
Shops like Clintons and The Link can be spotted in the photos, while shoppers can be seen on the escalators and in the dining area.

Victoria Road, Romford – 1990s
This view along Victoria Road in the 1990s captures the Victoria pub and an Esso petrol station.
At this point in time, petrol prices were only 50.9p per litre for unleaded and 48.9p per litre for diesel.
Collier Row Road – c. 1990
The former Lloyds Bank, Bairstow Eves and Elliot’s can all be spotted in this 1990 photo of Collier Row Road.
Lloyds Bank was previously the site of Collier Row Library in the 1950s and early 1960s, according to Havering Libraries, and was replaced with Savers after it closed in 2017.
