Schools across Twickenham and Richmond have shared their excellent results with many pupils receiving grades to help them progress on to University, apprenticeships or training.
Scenes of celebration filled the school hall on results day with smiles, tears and hugs capturing the result of years of effort and determination.
Orleans Park School
Students performed well with 68% receiving A*/B grades and 35* receiving A*/A grades, exceeding the national average of 28% at A*/A.
11% of all grades were at A* and 87% were A*-C, higher than the national average of 77%.
Ms Pacey, Headteacher of Orleans Park, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Sixth Form students whose hard work has helped them to achieve such a really pleasing set of results which have enabled them to take a crucial step towards their future.”
A significant proportion of students have gained places at top universities including Lauren and Alban who have achieved places at the University of Cambridge to study Design and Engineering respectively.
Waldegrave School
Students received exceptionally high results with 78% of students achieving grades A*-B, 42% at A*/A and 11% at A*.

20% of students achieved three A grades or above.
Reacting to the results Ms Tongue, Headteacher at Waldegrave School, said: “I’m so happy to see the fantastic results our students have achieved.
They have worked incredibly hard throughout the sixth form and thoroughly deserve their success.”
Four students have secured places at Oxbridge institutions including Luke Roberts, Sorrel Berressem and Kiera Williams, who have achieved places at the University of Oxford to study History and English, Experimental Psychology and Biomedical Sciences respectively.
Ameiyah Jeyachandran has secured a place at the University of Cambridge to study Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
Christ’s School
Christ’s School is celebrating its best ever A-level results with a 100% pass rate and nearly half of all grades awarded at A*/A.

46% of grades were A*/A and 10% at A.
Headteacher at Christ’s Helen Dixon described the results as “an extraordinary milestone” for the school.
“Our student’s determination, combined with the unwavering commitment of our teachers and support staff, has delivered record-breaking results. We could not be prouder.”
Nationally, the number of students gaining top A-level results has reached a record high this year with 28.3% of all grades across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland marked at A* or A, rising from 27.8% last year.
Record numbers of 18-year-olds also received their first university choice.
