Food safety officers ordered the closures after finding infestations that threatened public health.
Inspectors found cockroaches, rats or mice at the sites, risking food contamination for customers.
Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon, said: “Keeping residents safe is one of the most important responsibilities of this Council, and our food safety officers are out every week inspecting premises across the borough.
“Where businesses break the law and put public health at risk, we will act firmly and without hesitation.
“There is zero-tolerance for unsafe food practices in Croydon.
“If serious risks such as pest infestations are identified, we will not hesitate to close premises until problems are properly addressed.”
Since April 2024, Croydon Council’s food safety team has carried out 691 hygiene inspections.
These premises have been closed:
Raggio Di Sole on Southbridge Road, South Croydon, was shut because of a mouse infestation and ordered to pay £1,314.53 in council costs.
Lifegrace Bookshop and Groceries/Tolis Food Takeaway on Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath, were shut after cockroaches were found in the shop and food prep and storage areas, and the owners were ordered to pay £1,423.93 in costs.
Chicago Pizza, Kebab and Burgers on Addington Road, Selsdon, was shut after rats were found across its food prep, serving and storage areas, and it was ordered to pay £1,408.47.
The Orchard Public House on Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon, was shut twice after mice were found in the kitchen, bar and cellar, and it was ordered to pay £2,383.12.
Catch Star Chippy on Stoats Nest Road, Coulsdon, was shut after cockroaches were found throughout the premises and ordered to pay £1,382.93 in costs.
In May, the council also shut two more outlets: Colombo Express on London Road and Asafo on Whitehorse Road, Selhurst.

Both were shut after pest infestations created a serious risk of food contamination.
Residents are urged to check a business’s food hygiene rating before ordering.
Ratings are listed on the Food Standards Agency website.
Report any concerns about food outlets in Croydon via the council’s website.
Croydon Council’s inspections use the Food Standards Agency scale from 0 to 5, and businesses in England do not have to display their rating on site.
