The incident happened on the coastbound M2, near Medway services at 8pm on January 15.
The emergency services were called after a single-vehicle crash involving a gold-coloured Jaguar XF.
The driver, a man in his 50s, was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital, where he died on January 17.
An investigation by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is underway and witnesses are urged to get in touch..
