Police officers were called to Wellington Street just before 1.30am yesterday (January 16) after receiving concerns for the welfare of a woman on a scaffolding.
A woman in her 20s had fallen from height and was taken to the hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that the woman is still fighting for her life a day later.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service previously said: “Police were called at 01:19hrs on Friday, 16 January, following concerns for the welfare of a woman on scaffolding on Wellington Street, Woolwich.
“The woman, in her 20s, subsequently fell from height and was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition, where she remains.
“The road will remain closed while our investigation continues.”
