The rankings are based on analysis from On Time Trains, which tracks the UK’s rail network for its reliability and punctuality.
Stations are scored using performance factors that take into account how often trains arrive on time, how frequently they are delayed by varying lengths, and the number of cancellations.
Each station is then ranked against all 2,644 stations nationwide, offering a clear picture of how services compare both locally and nationally.
Passenger usage figures also reveal a wide gap between Bexley’s busiest and quietest stations in 2025.
Sidcup was scored as the borough’s busiest, ranking 214th nationally with an average of 7,165 entries and exits per day.
This was closely followed by Welling and Bexleyheath, each handling just more than 4,000 daily passengers.
Belvedere was the least busy station in the borough, with an average of 1,908 entries and exits per day.
Comparing the figures to 2024 shows a slight increase across most stations, with Sidcup seeing the largest rise in daily passenger numbers.
Meanwhile, Albany Park recorded the biggest year-on-year improvement in national ranking, although it remains among the quieter stations locally.
