The London Ambulance Service was alerted to reports of an incident on Heathway shortly before 2.40pm today (January 16).
Ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene, where two patients were found in need of medical attention.
They have both been taken to hospital in unknown conditions.
At the time of reporting, Heathway has been closed in both directions to traffic between Hedgemans Road and Broad Street.
Buses are on diversion.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.38pm today (16 January) to reports of a road traffic collision on Heathway, Dagenham.
“We sent ambulance crews to the scene.
“We treated two patients at the scene and took them to hospital.”
