Beckenham Place Park was swarmed by officers yesterday (January 15) in connection to the investigation into the murder of John Temitope Onetufo from Deptford.
The 23-year-old was found with a stab wound to his chest in Grove Street on December 31, 2025, after emergency services received reports of an incident at around 12.35pm.
He died at the scene.
An underwater search team conducted a search of the swimming pond at Beckenham Place Park, whilst a Police Search Adviser organised teams to search in other areas of the park.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons linked to his age, has been charged with murder.
The investigation continues.
