The incident happened in Wellington Street neat Thomas Street just after 1.30am today (January 16).
An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team were sent to the scene.
A person was treated at the scene and taken to hospital as a priority.

Their condition is unknown at this stage.
Bus routes 53, 54, 291, 380 and 422 are currently on diversion and Wellington Street remains closed both ways from South Circular to Thomas Street.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.36am today (16 January) to reports of a person who had fallen from height in Wellington Street, Woolwich.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
