Barratt Redrow, in partnership with Place2Be, helped to create the sensory garden at The Crescent Primary School to support pupils’ emotional health.
Verity Denman, head of school at The Crescent Primary School, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Place2Be and Barratt Redrow for their generous support, which has created an on-site dedicated mental health facility.
“Some of our children at Crescent Primary School did not have access to a garden prior to this renovation, so we are glad that they now have the opportunity for sensory planting and more focused interactive play.”

The sensory garden features textured plants, flowers, and natural materials to engage all five senses. It also includes seating, planters, and play equipment designed to encourage exploration, reflection, and a connection with the outdoors.
Barratt Redrow volunteers carried out the work and have offered to continue supporting the school.
Danny Masters, operations director at Barratt London, said: “It has been an incredible opportunity to work closely with Place2Be and The Crescent Primary School on such a rewarding project. Placemaking is at the heart of what we do at Barratt Redrow.”
