Dagenham Heathway Tesco Express has temporarily closed due to refurbishment works – and is not expected to reopen until February 19.
The revamp includes upgrades to the shelving, the installation of new fridges and freezers, and redecorating the store as a whole.
Tesco apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused while the refit takes place at the Dagenham Heathway store.
A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Our Dagenham Heathway Express is temporarily closed and is undergoing a refit to improve the overall shopping experience for customers.
“Works include upgraded shelving, re-decorating the store and the installation of new energy efficient fridges and freezers.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused while the works take place, and look forward to welcoming customers back to the refreshed store next month.”
The nearest Tesco store, the Dagenham Oxlow Lane Express, previously shut for its own refurb in February 2025.
