Maliki ‘Mags’ Sharma was rushed to hospital following reports of a stabbing on Victoria Road, at around 5pm on January 12.
He died a short while later.
A GoFundMe has been set up by the local community, remembering Maliki as a son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
The 18-year-old has been described as a “caring young man” whose “kindness left a lasting mark on everyone he met”.”
The fundraiser reads: “He was loved so deeply, not only for his humour and friendly nature, but for the genuine care and compassion he showed to others every single day.

“He was a devoted son and brother, cherished and protected by his family. His mum, Rachel, held her children close, always trying to shield them from a world she feared could be cruel, a fear no parent should ever have to see come true. Now, she and all who loved Maliki are left facing a pain no words can ease.
“Maliki was a college student with his whole life ahead of him. Dreams still forming, goals waiting to be reached, and a future filled with endless potential. He had so much love to give, and his caring nature made him not only a wonderful son and brother, but a loyal, genuine friend to many.”
