The H32 bus hit the canopy of Hounslow West station at around 2.10pm yesterday (January 12).
The upper deck of the bus crumpled under the impact with the body ripping and windows smashed.
There were no injuries but the incident was “distressing for those involved”, said TfL.
An investigation has been launched by the bus operator Transport UK, with the help of TfL.

A TfL spokesperson said: “A route H32 bus collided with a canopy at Hounslow West Station yesterday.
“Thankfully there were no reported injuries.
“We understand this will have been distressing for those involved and have support available.
“Safety is our top priority and we’re determined to ensure London’s bus network is safe for everyone.
“We are working with the bus operator, Transport UK, who are investigating this incident.”
