TfL is consulting on plans for routes 19 and 38, which currently run from Battersea Bridge to Finsbury Park and Victoria to Clapton, respectively.
The proposed changes would see route 19 cut back, removing the section between Battersea and Hyde Park Corner and instead extending the service to Victoria Station.
Sunday early morning buses would also run more frequently, increasing from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

Route 38 could be shortened to run only between Clapton Pond and Holborn, removing the Victoria link.
Saturday services would reduce from every six minutes to every ten, with Sunday early mornings and evenings cut from every seven to eight minutes to every 12.
A new route, provisionally numbered 10, is proposed to run between Mildmay Park, Dove Road and Battersea Bridge, operating every ten minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 12 minutes on Sundays and all evenings.
The changes are intended to improve reliability and better match capacity to demand.
TfL said the route 38 structure no longer reflects current travel patterns, with falling demand at Victoria and between Hackney and Essex Road.
Route 19 is unreliable and the busiest section is around Islington Green.
Shortening the route will help with reliability on the route and create new links between Victoria and Upper Street/Highbury.
A spokesperson said: “We continuously review and adapt the bus network to reflect changing customer needs.
“This includes proposing changes to existing bus routes, so services operate in areas where our customers need them most.”
The proposed adjustments would help meet TfL’s business plan targets by reducing excess capacity on lower-demand sections.
The changes are also part of efforts to simplify and rationalise the bus network.
The consultation remains open until Friday, January 23, 2026, giving passengers and residents the chance to have their say.
