Described as a protected property of “architectural and historical significance”, this villa is located directly on the banks of the River Thames, positioned between Teddington and Twickenham.
Arranged across four floors, it includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a cinema room, and a home gym that could serve as an additional bedroom.

According to the listing, the home underwent a complete renovation by Claire Botha, the owner and a local interior designer, who restored the villa from a family house and separate basement annexe to a single residence.
The renovation retained period features such as cast-iron radiators, original fireplaces, oak flooring, coving, restored sash windows and a carved spiralling staircase.
Claire Botha said: “This house has always held a special charm, being rich in Victorian character and craftsmanship, and the renovation was about honouring that heritage while creating a home that feels truly contemporary and family focused.”

At the entrance, a contemporary Victorian-style canopy leads to an arched stained glass front door designed to echo traditional motifs.
The front reception room spans 28ft long, features a working fireplace and opens onto a balcony with steps to the garden.
The relocated kitchen now sits on the raised ground floor, designed as an open-plan kitchen and dining space featuring an AGA, black cabinetry, copper worktops and a central island.
The lower ground floor holds a second reception room, dedicated cinema room, utility room, and a gym.

On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, including a suite with a fireplace and an ensuite bath featuring twin vanities and Victorian tile floors.
Both bedrooms have double doors onto a rear balcony.
Three more bedrooms are found on the top floor, one with its own ensuite and one with direct access to a south-facing balcony.
The private riverside garden, described as “the jewel in the crown”, includes mature planting, a boathouse and direct access to the river.
Nearby, Strawberry Hill and Twickenham stations offer train links within half a mile, while a range of schools and green spaces are accessible locally.
