Works began on building the new hotel at the site of 11 Station Road in June 2025 after plans were approved following an appeal.
Works in June faced a temporary pause later in the month due to the heat.

Drone photos were taken on Saturday morning (January 10) and show that metal framework has begun to be erected at the front of the site.
The front and back of the premises is still fenced off with metal fencing and two excavation diggers can be seen near the back of the plot where no framework has been put up.

A huge metal crane is also visible on the left hand side of the site
The hotel won’t be the only new addition to the street as located only two doors down, at 15 Station Road, is Irish deli Varleys.
The hotel is set to be finished between April and June 2026. (Image: Peter Barrett)
Varleys reportedly opened on Saturday morning and sells coffees, lunch and Irish provisions.
It is expected that the 82-room Travelodge hotel will be completed between April and June 2026.
The hotel is expected to include a restaurant or cafe on the ground floor as Havering Council previously approved a planning amendment to allow hot food to be sold on the premises.
