The Gallivant Littlestone Beach in Kent was named in a list by The Times, highlighting 24 of the best new hotels across the UK.
The named hotels included Cotswolds spots, Cornish pubs, a Northumberland estate, and much more.

The Kent beachfront hotel you need to visit this year
Littlestone Beach, near New Romney, in Kent’s Romney Marsh area, offers views across the shingle beach, the sea and beyond.
The Gallivant is expected to open its doors this summer after missing planned opening dates for 2024 and 2025.
Set in a grand white 1920s building designed by Clough Williams-Ellis, the new hotel will be the latest addition to the hotel’s collection, with the Gallivant in Camber Sands already open.
The Littlestone Beach hotel will host 13 bedrooms with a Hamptons-style glamour throughout, according to The Times.
It’s expected to have touches, including an honesty bar, a choice of dining in the sitting room, orangery, library, bar or the dining room.
The hotel will have a focus on wellness, with a plunge pool, therapy room, sauna and relaxation space in the gardens that offer views towards the White Cliffs of Dover.
Prices for the new Kent beachfront hotel have not yet been confirmed, but it’s expected to be similar to The Gallivant in Camber Sands.
Currently, prices for a two-person one-night stay start at £229 and range to £455.
Rooms on offer at the Camber Sands selection include the Snug Cabin, Garden, Large Hampton, Baby Hampton and its Luxury Garden option.
On Tripadvisor, The Gallivant Camber Sands has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from more than 2,450 reviews.
Out of those reviews, more than 1,400 are rated ‘excellent’, making it among the highest-rated hotels in the area.
One recent guest to The Gallivant wrote: “A peaceful boutique hotel near the beach, perfect for recharging. Thoughtful details, comfortable rooms and a great restaurant on site.”
Another said: “Absolutely loved our stay at The Gallivant and our meal at Harry’s — beautiful setting, amazing food, and outstanding service.”
The Gallivant Littlestone Beach is expected to open in Summer 2026.
