The incident at the junction of Brighton Road with Sanderstead Road was reported to the London Ambulance Service shortly after 9pm yesterday (January 6).
A trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance was dispatched alongside an ambulance crew and other paramedic resources.
At the scene, a man was found injured. He was treated before being taken to a major trauma centre.
His condition has not been confirmed.
A second patient declined further treatment.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.03pm on Monday 6 January to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Brighton Road and Sanderstead Road, South Croydon.
“We sent resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre. A second patient declined further treatment.”
